LIMITED CATEGORY AIRCRAFT OPERATIONS
Here at Perth Warbirds safety is our highest priority. Our aircraft is maintained to the highest standard possible by fully qualified aircraft maintenance engineers, and our pilots are approved to conduct adventure flights by the Australian Warbirds Associated Ltd, based on their qualifications and experience.
It is a legal requirement for us to inform you that an adventure flight is not required to meet the same standards as you would normally expect from a flight that carries passengers. This is because the aircraft that is used for our operations is an ex-military type, and as such, it does not have the normal civilian aircraft certification. These types of aircraft are known as Limited Category aircraft. Therefore, there is a risk involved in the operation of these types of aircraft. Please carefully consider the statement below before continuing:
THE DESIGN, MANUFACTURE AND AIRWORTHINESS OF THE AIRCRAFT USED FOR ADVENTURE FLIGHTS WITH PERTH WARBIRDS PTY LTD IS NOT REQUIRED TO MEET ANY SAFETY STANDARD RECOGNISED BY THE CIVIL AVIATION SAFETY AUTHORITY [CASA].
THE AIRCRAFT IS NOT REQUIRED BY CASA TO BE OPERATED TO THE SAME SAFETY STANDARDS AS AN AIRCRAFT USED FOR REGULAR PUBLIC TRANSPORT OR CHARTER OPERATIONS.
WHEN YOU FLY IN THE AIRCRAFT YOU DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Passengers must accept this statement by signing an acknowledgment form on the day of flight, prior to being allowed to fly on an adventure flight.
A more detailed briefing about the safety of the aircraft will be given to the passenger before the passenger boards the aircraft.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Perth Warbirds before proceeding.
